Learn More“9th Grade Matters” Collaboration
Crossroads collaborates with Extra Mile Foundation and their schools to facilitate successful preparation for and transition to high school for middle grades students. Working with our Crossroads Transition Coordinator, students and parents participate in workshops in which they develop an understanding of their high school educational options, strengthen their preparation for high school and college success, overall goals.
Summer Picnic and Crossroads Christmas Party
Throughout the year, the Crossroads family gathers together to share in each other's joys and growth at social gatherings such as the annual Summer Picnic, Christmas Party, and other events. These events bring scholars, families, staff, and other members of the Crossroads community together for laughter, love, and cherished memories.
Scholar Achievement Awards
Every year, Crossroads holds the Scholar Achievement Awards ceremony to bring the scholars, families, school personnel, and other stakeholders together to encourage and celebrate scholars' achievements. As an organization, we want to recognize scholars who are excelling and growing, demonstrating a commitment to community service, and exhibiting the attributes we hope to see in all of our Crossroads scholars.
Volunteering & Community Service
All Crossroads scholars are expected to “give back” to their community in some way. We ask that each scholar complete a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service each academic year. Service projects create opportunities for scholars to connect with their peers and other members of the community, cultivate habits of altruism, and learn about potential career pathways.
