There are many ways to support Crossroads!

Gifts from Your Will or Trust Need to preserve assets during your lifetime? You can provide a legacy gift once other obligations or goals are fulfilled. A residual gift comes to us once specific bequests and estate expenses are paid. This can be as a dollar amount or a percentage of the residual estate.

Retirement Plan or IRA Gifts You may name Crossroads Foundation as a beneficiary (either a Primary or Contingent). Naming the Crossroads Foundation as a beneficiary will accomplish the charitable goal and also pass the gift tax free to the foundation. You can change the designation at any time and also provide for family members as primary recipients with Crossroads as a second or third contingent beneficiary.

Gifts from Donor Advised Funds Make an outright gift from your Donor Advised Fund or name us as one of the ultimate beneficiaries of the fund. Donor Advised Funds allow a donor to make larger gifts today to the DAF entity and receive a larger tax deduction today and then designate the gifts from the fund to eligible charities. *Important 2026 Changes affecting charitable deductions: A .5% AGI Floor means that you will only deduct contributions that exceed .5% of your adjusted gross income. Top Tax bracket filers (37%), your deduction will be capped at $.35 per dollar donated. Non itemizers can claim up to $1,000 ($2,000 for joint filers)

Over 70 1/2- Direct Gifts from your IRA In 2026 you can make a Direct IRA Gift (called a Qualified Charitable Distribution or QCD) up to $111,000 a year. This allows an individual to make a tax free gift from their IRA. You must notify the IRA Custodian prior to the end of the year to ensure that the gift is recorded for the tax year intended.

Life Insurance or Annuity Accounts Many people may have an older life insurance or annuity contracts that are not needed for the family as originally established. You can change the beneficiary to Crossroads or transfer the ownership of the policy to the Crossroads if the policy is no longer needed. Please make certain that you share our EIN with the sponsoring organization.
