10th Grade Action Plan
Sophmore year is all about beginning to picture yourself on a college campus and career exploration. With the help of your Crossroads Counselor, you will have opportunities to learn more about your talents and professional skills through a variety of programs. You'll learn to balance academic responsibilities with extracurriculars and relationships with your peers.

Targeted College Tours
Crossroads requires each scholar to visit at least six colleges or universities prior to high school graduation. Scholars may tour colleges independently or participate in group visits facilitated by our organization, which includes at least three coordinated on a yearly basis.
St. Vincent College Week
Rising sophomores participate in a week-long summer program at St. Vincent College. In addition to exposing scholars to the feel of a college campus, programming during St. Vincent Week introduces scholars to college-level coursework, the challenges of college social life, and the skills necessary to succeed at a post-secondary institution.
Health Career Academy
This program introduces scholars to various careers in the medical and health fields through practical, hands-on experiences and informative discussions with medical professionals.
Camp BioE
Camp BioE submerses scholars in bioengineering and regenerative medicine. The camp is designed to not only expose students to science but also show them that STEM can be engaging and something that they could pursue as a career.
Environment & Technology Week
Crossroads collaborates with local technological and environmental organizations for this intensive week of hands-on programming. Scholars learn about the career applications of technology and the nature and implications of using renewable vs. non-renewable energy.
Regional Job Outlook
In partnership with businesses throughout the greater Pittsburgh area, scholars learn about various regional industries, including law, real estate, media, and nontraditional fields.
High-Ropes Course
Under the guidance of Camp Guyasuta staff, scholars will participate in a High-Ropes summer course at CG. This course is more dynamic and meant to challenge scholars, both physically and intellectually.

Crossroads Board of DirectorsMalik graduated from Central Catholic in 2010 and went on to attend Robert Morris University. He received his B.A. in Accounting in 2014, and his Masters in Information Security from Robert Morris in 2015.
